Ámbitos Feministas 

The peer-reviewed Ámbitos Feministas is the official journal of the coalition Feministas Unidas, and is an annual, multidisciplinary journal of criticism that is relevant to all fields of study related to Transatlantic Gender Gaze, Women’s Studies, and current feminist issues in Spanish, Spanish-American, Luso-Brazilian, Afro-Latin American, and US Hispanic-Latinx Studies. The journal is indexed in EBSCO.

Ámbitos Feministas is supported by an editorial board and an advisory board whose members have been selected for their highly regarded scholarship and their representation of different areas of the journal, as well as their prominence as writers, activists, and artists. Ámbitos Feministas aims to foster critical exchanges on the current status of feminist, gender, sexualities, and women's studies in the Transatlantic Global Hispanic World.

Call for Papers, Ámbitos Feministas

 

Ámbitos Feministas accepts original articles, essays, creative works, translations, etc., throughout the year. However, priority for publication in the upcoming issue is given to submissions received within the dates established by the editors. Ámbitos Feministas publishes book reviews. To submit proposals or books for review, please send an email to the coordinator of this section, Dr. Karina Walker: walkerk3@hartwick.edu

 

Please note that in order to submit any work, you must be a member of Feministas Unidas. Membership is required both for the period during which the text is submitted and, if the peer review process results in a positive evaluation, for the year of publication as well. The annual peer-reviewed journal Ámbitos Feministas has been published since 2011. Initially, it was a print-only publication (ISSN 2164-0998), but starting with the 2023 issue, it is now published exclusively online. All issues are available on Academia, and issues published from 2023 onward are also available here. All are indexed in EBSCO.
